Queer Celebrations – on Radio Cavolo
To mark LBGT+ Pride Month Uladzimir Valodzin, Federica Signoriello and Benno Gammerl got together at Radio Cavolo to have a conversation about queer history and also the present-day situation. They talked about Benno’s recent book on the emotions of gays and lesbians in West Germany since the 1950s, about queer trajectories in non-Western countries and about ongoing discussions around gender and sexual diversity in contemporary Italy. And along the way they present a couple of songs which deserve a special place in a queer playlist.
