Lecture: Women and men can never have equal career opportunities until they share equal caregiving responsibilities

A- A A+

The Department of History and Civilisation hosts the lecture “Women and men can never have equal career opportunities until they share equal caregiving responsibilities” by Dr. Anne-Marie Slaughter (New America, and Princeton University).

The only way to complete the gender revolution that has been taking place for the past six decades, at least in some countries, is to ensure that male roles change as much as female roles have. Ultimately, we seek a world in which humans can mix care and connection with career and competition in whichever combination best suits their personalities and life circumstances, regardless of gender.

Date and time: 9 March 2022, 17:00 – 18:00 CET.

Place: Badia Fiesolana, Refectory.
